Fateh Burj, Chappar Chiri

Some photographs from the site of Fateh Burj, Chappar Chirri. This garden like place is built at the spot of one of the most important battles in Sikh history where Banda Singh Bahadar led the Sikh army for a victory against Wazir Khan. Standing at the height of 100m is the Fateh Burj, the tallest victory tower of India. The sculpture of Banda Singh Bahadar facing the Burj is placed on the dome shaped building in front. This building is further surrounded by 5 similar buildings with statues of the 5 Generals of Banda Singh Bahadar namely Bhai Fateh Singh, Bhai Aali Singh, Bhai Maali Singh, Bhai Baaz Singh and Bhai Ram Singh.

Gurudwaras of Chamkaur Sahib and Machiwarha

There are a number of Gurudwaras to visit at Chamkaur Sahib and Machiwarha locations in Punjab. I recently got a chance to visit some of them. Here are the photographs of these Gurudwaras related to Sikh history.

Sikh Museum Balongi

Recently, I got a chance to visit these life sized sculptures depicting Sikh history in village Balongi, Mohali. The hard work and dedication done by the artist speaks for itself from these statues.
